We can understand ingredient lists are very hard to read and understand if you are not familiar with them. To make sure you understand which ingredients our mask includes, we made a dictionary of all the ingredients below.

CL 12490 |
CL 12490

CL 12490 is seen as a colorant, however, it is a natural mineral powder that occurs naturally (iron oxide). However the legislation requires that this should be seen as a colorant and that is why it is referred as a CL number. |

Clay (or Kaolin) is a gentle cleanser and removes the impurities and dirt from the skin without drying, It reduces oily skin and tones the skin. Naturally occurring clay mineral is often used because of its absorbent properties. |

Ethylhexylglycerin is a synthetic skin-softening agent and is also used as a preservative. It ensures that the bacteria will stay out of the mask and that it therefore has a longer shelf life, meaning that you can enjoy it as long as possible. |

Hematite (also spelled Haematite) is a mineral and is rich in iron. It will bring all power of the earth to the skin tissue. Hematite is a mineral form of iron oxide whose name is derived from the Greek word for blood. This is explainable, because hematite is often red or red-brown. |

The Vitamin C in mango butter helps it to boost the skin, brightening it, while the Vitamin A helps to increase the skin's youthful appearance, reducing fine lines. Since mango butter is a rich moisturizer, it is very soothing and healing. |

Phenoxyethanol is a widely used synthetic preservative that has global approval for use in all cosmetic products in concentrations up to 1%. Used together with ingredients like ethylhexylglycerin (like in our pink clay mask), lower amounts are as effective as the maximum, and that is why we use less then 1%. |
Polyglyceryl-4 laurate | Polyglyceryl-4 laurate |
Polyglyceryl-4 laurate is a plant-derived of a polymer of glycerin and lauric acid. This versatile ingredient works as an emulsifier and a cleansing agent. It is used in a lot of skincare products and is considered an 100% safe. |

Pomegranate reduces skin inflammation and helps with in skin repair. It is full of antioxidants and is a plant extract. It is used in a lot of skincare products, and can't be missed in our Pink Clay Mask either. |

Quartz is a mineral (stone) and is a byproduct with the clays we are using in the pink clay mask. |
Rosemary | Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract |
The nutrients of rosemary can help protect skin cells from damage often caused by the sun and free radicals. Since rosemary has natural antiseptic properties, it's a superior disinfectant for our skin. |
Sunstone Powder | Sunstone powder |
Sunstone powder is a mineral and makes sure the beige clay in our mask is beige once it is mixed with all the other ingredients. |
Retinyl palmitate | Vitamin A |
Retinyl palmitate helps to stimulate collagen production, increase cellular rejuvenation. It helps decrease pore size and that will help with creating softer and smoother skin. It is an effective antioxidant when applied to the sin. It is found naturally in our skin and helps protect the skin from UV light exposure. |
Tocopherol | Vitamin E |
Essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties. Vitamin E helps support the immune system, cell function and skin health. It's an antioxidant, making it effective at combating the effects of free radicals produced by the metabolism of food and toxins in the environment. |
Witch Hazel | Hamamelis virginiana bark/twig extract |
When applied to the skin, witch hazel have the potential to ease irritation, injury, and inflammation. Some of the most common uses include acne, inflammatory conditions and sunburn. |
