It's no secret that we all get older one day, but thanks to anti-aging products, this doesn't have to be visible immediately. In most areas, you can't start using these products early enough. Pigmentation spots, fine lines and even deep wrinkles can be significantly postponed. If you are a little too late, there are always products that can ensure that your skin is boosted again. Which products actually contribute and what should you pay attention to? We explain that to you here!
Sunscreen
Nowadays it is mentioned a lot, but we like to do it once more: apply a cream with SPF on your face every day. About 80% of skin aging is caused by the sun. Whether you are 20 or 70 years old, the sun is very harmful to your skin and contributes significantly to its aging. Sunscreen helps to prevent and regulate the signs of skin aging. SPF is the number 1 ingredient proven to be anti-aging. At Clay And Glow we don't go a day without our Protecting Face Sunscreen SPF30. Sunscreen gives the cells in the skin the chance to repair and renew, so it prevents the development of wrinkles and regulates discoloration. Daily use of SPF is therefore essential.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an oxidant that, especially in combination with sunscreen, protects the skin against free radicals and UV damage. In addition, this ingredient is also great for regulating or preventing pigmentation spots and it helps with collagen build-up. Enough advantages to earn a place on this anti-aging list. Collagen is a substance that your body produces itself, which ensures that the skin retains its elasticity. However, the production of this substance decreases as you get older. This happens since your early twenties. Therefore, it is a good idea to start using the Vitamin C Serum daily from then on. This way you are on time with protecting the skin against UV damage and supporting collagen production early on.
Retinol
Retinol is a widely known when it comes to anti-aging ingredients. Retinoids are molecules derived from vitamin A. In addition to acting in the deeper collagen, retinol also increases cell turnover. This prevents uneven skin tone and discoloration. This all sounds promising, but with retinol you have to be careful sometimes. When in high concentrations in a product, it can cause hypersensitivity. You obviously don't want this, so that's why we used a low percentage in our Pink Clay Mask. What is also nice about retinol, is that it works against acne as well. So two birds with one stone!
Peptide
Another ingredient that should not be missing in your anti-aging skincare routine is peptide. Peptides are protein building blocks that send signals to the body to help build collagen. Depending on the type of peptide, they can also send signals to improve skin hydration. Although there has been less research on peptides than retinol or SPF, peptides have also been shown to be effective for anti-aging. By using our Peptide Cooling Eye Cream twice a day every day, you can ensure that the dark circles and fine lines around your eyes go out the door. Who does not want that?
